Hi, I'm Annie.

For more than 30 years, I've been fortunate to spend my career doing work I genuinely love, supporting babies, children and their families through the many stages of childhood.

I've worked with thousands of families as a nursery practitioner, nanny, maternity nurse, supported children with additional needs in school and for the past 14 years, as the co founder of a successful sleep consultancy.

Supporting families from birth through to the teenage years has given me a unique perspective on child development. I've seen first-hand how children's needs evolve and how parents need different kinds of support at different stages too.

Every stage brings new questions, different emotions and another parenting pivot. And it’s often in those moments of uncertainty that parents don’t just need information, they need someone who understands what it actually feels like to be in it.

Based in Richmond, I support families across London and the surrounding areas in person, and online throughout the UK.

I've shared in the excitement of newborn cuddles, first smiles and first steps... and I've also stood beside families through the harder moments.

Sleep deprivation, nursery drop-offs, the return to work, school worries, neurodiversity assessments and those times when nothing seems to be working.

Every family reaches a point where a fresh pair of eyes can make all the difference. Someone who can understand what's really happening and help you move forwards with confidence.

I believe experience matters, but so does high-quality training. In an unregulated industry, parents deserve both.

My qualifications and specialist training include:

  • BA (Hons), University of Surrey

  • OCN Level 5 Paediatric Sleep Practitioner

  • Maternity Nurse Training in Breastfeeding & Sleep

  • Reflux and Early Allergies

  • National Autistic Society Autism Training

  • Anxiety in Children

  • Applied Behaviour Analysis Coaching Programme

I've also shared my expertise through national media, including:

Sam & Billie Faiers: The Mummy Diaries | Ferne McCann: First Time Mum | Billie & Greg: The Family Diaries | The Guardian | The Independent | Huffington Post |

Alongside my professional experience, I'm also a mum.

I've felt the overwhelming love, the 'what if' moments, the exhaustion, the identity shift, the guilt of returning to work, the endless mental load and the doubt that creeps in during those moments of thinking, "I should be able to do this," whilst quietly wondering, "So why does it feel so hard?"

Parenthood has a habit of throwing us into situations we weren't expecting. Just as we're beginning to find our feet, our children's needs change, new questions arise, emotions rollercoaster (ours and theirs) and we're left wondering why what worked so well before no longer does.

Time has taught me that parenting isn't about getting everything right. It's about finding your way through the messy, uncertain moments when expectations don't quite match reality. The moments where your confidence wobbles and you're left wondering what to do next.

That's the muddle.

It's also where understanding, reassurance and the right support can make all the difference.

If you need someone to help you make sense of what's happening, my aim is always the same: to help you feel calmer, more confident in your decisions and better equipped to understand your child, so you can move your family forwards together.

Whether you need a clear plan, ongoing guidance or hands-on support, we'll find the level of support that's right for your family. Based in Richmond, I offer in-person support to families across London and the surrounding areas, as well as online throughout the UK.

Because parenthood is messy and I'm meeting you in the muddle.

Parent Reviews

"We couldn’t recommend Annie more highly - we first got in touch when our daughter was 5 months old. She had been sleeping through the night at 3 months and then started waking up during the night and taking a while to go down to sleep. Unable to decipher where she needed feeding, left to cry or cuddle, we turned to Annie for assistance and within 3 nights we had a plan which enabled all three of us broken sleep.”

Mrs Scott-Dalgleish

“Annie worked her magic for our family in spades - we went from hourly wake ups and not being able to put our 8 month old son down unless fully asleep, to him self settling in his own cot and in own room, and frequently sleeping 12 hours straight with barely a stir. Annie helped us to have the confidence in our chosen approach, and to stay strong throughout the first night. We saw results right away and the whole family is sleeping better. Thank you Annie"

Mr & Mrs Scott

“Annie has changed my experience of motherhood for the better. At 9 months postpartum I was broken; I had not slept for more than 2 hours in a stretch since he was born and I am confident, I was headed for a hospital stay. Over FaceTime (in the era of lockdown) she gave us support, reassurance and the confidence we needed to get through that first bedtime.”

Let's talk things through.

What's happening in your family might feel overwhelming right now, but you don't have to figure it all out on your own.
